Solana Seas

Terms of Service & Privacy Notice
Open beta · last updated 2 August 2026

The short version. Solana Seas is a free browser game in open beta. In-game $PIRATES is game plunder with no monetary value and cannot be bought, sold, cashed out, or redeemed. We store the captain name you choose, a hashed secret, your game progress, and — only if you choose to link one — a wallet address. Nothing else. The game may change, reset, or go offline at any time during beta.

1. The beta

This is unfinished software provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. Features may break, change, or disappear. Progress, balances, and the world itself may be reset before full release. Do not treat anything in the game as a durable asset.

2. In-game $PIRATES

$PIRATES earned in the beta is a score kept on our server for gameplay purposes. It is not a currency, security, investment, or financial instrument; it confers no ownership, revenue share, profit expectation, or claim of any kind; and it is not convertible to money or to any blockchain token. Nothing in the game or on this site is an offer to sell, or a solicitation to buy, any asset. Nothing here is financial advice.

If a blockchain token is ever launched, it will be announced separately with its own terms. Playing the beta does not entitle you to it, and we make no promise, now or implied, of any future distribution.

3. Your account

Your captain is identified by a name and a secret phrase you choose. Anyone with your name and secret can play as you. Choose a secret you do not use anywhere else, and never share it. We cannot see your secret — we store only a one-way hash of it.

If you link a wallet, you can use it to recover access. Without a linked wallet, a lost secret means a lost captain; we have no way to verify ownership and cannot restore it.

4. Wallet linking

Linking a wallet is optional and purely an identity check. You sign one message to prove you control the address. We store the public address only. We never ask for, and you should never provide, a seed phrase or private key. The game requests no transactions, has no access to your funds, and cannot move anything from your wallet. Anyone in chat asking for a seed phrase, or offering an airdrop or a "wallet verification" link, is trying to rob you — report them.

5. Conduct

Piracy against other players is a game mechanic and entirely allowed within the rules of the sea. What is not allowed:

Chat is filtered and rate-limited, and links and wallet addresses are blocked outright. We may mute, disconnect, or remove accounts that break these rules, at our discretion and without notice.

6. What we collect

We do not collect email addresses, real names, or payment details. We run no advertising or third-party analytics trackers. Chat messages are relayed between players and are not retained after the session, except where quoted in a report.

7. Where it lives

Game data is stored on Cloudflare infrastructure (Workers, Durable Objects, and D1), which may process it in data centres worldwide. Fonts are served by Google Fonts, which may see your IP address as part of that request.

8. Your choices

You can unlink your wallet in-game at any time. To have a captain and its data deleted, contact us with the captain name and either the secret or a signature from the linked wallet, so we can confirm it is yours. Deletion is permanent.

9. Children

Solana Seas is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the game is provided without warranties and we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of it — including lost progress, lost in-game balances, downtime, or data loss.

11. Changes

These terms will change as the game develops. The date at the top reflects the current version, and continuing to play means accepting the current terms.
